About Rock Steady Boxing Northeast PA
Rock Steady Boxing Northeast PA is excited to bring this non-contact, boxing-inspired Parkinson's fitness program to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. Recent studies have shown that intense exercise programs may be "neuroprotective", actually working to delay the progression of symptoms. Rock Steady's tough love and "make-it-fun" approach inspires maximum effort, speed, strength, balance and flexibility. Rock Steady Boxing classes, started in Indianapolis in 2006, have proven that anyone, at any level of Parkinson's, can actually lessen their symptoms and lead a healthier and happier life.
All participants receive an individual 45 - 60 minute initial assessment to establish a baseline of your abilities and determine class placement. Classes are designed so that all person's needs are met from the newly diagnosed to the person living with the many effects of Parkinson's. No one is turned away. No boxing experience is necessary and people of all ages are invited to participate. Classes are held 3x/week on Mon/Wed/Fri and are 90 min long.
